What is the Performance Optimiser Technique?
The Performance Optimiser Technique, (POT), is an 18 minute recording designed to take your performance to the next level. It is especially effective to counter the natural mind/body mechanism which limits our ability in those pressure moments when we want to be at our best. (The ‘poise’ page at www.sapsford.eu explains the important role the subconscious mind plays in optimising or limiting our performance at important times). The POT has been used by hundreds of people wanting to produce outstanding performance in a wide variety of situations including exams, interviews, presentations, meetings, one to one conversations and in many different sports.
I developed and perfected the POT over several years, distilling it from many different sources of learning including, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Cognitive Hypnosis and Neuroscience. This recording includes techniques to induce cardiac coherence, (see below), deep relaxation and a form of guided imagery which utilises all the senses. Word Weaving™ language is used throughout to guide the subconscious mind to produce our optimal state when we need it the most.
Over years of development through a variety of testing situations the POT evolved into a robust and flexible technique which is the closest thing to a universal approach I have found. It really works and has become the most effective state management technique I have utilised or come across.
When you first use The POT, try it for something about a week ahead so that you can go through this process a number of times before hand. Initially practice in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Try it a couple of times to get used to it and after a while you will be able to do it anywhere and in any circumstances, quickly and easily, with or without this recording.
Why Two Recordings?
On payment we will provide you with two recordings because when I use the Performance Optimiser with clients, I make subtle changes depending on the occasion they are preparing for. Most commonly I distinguish between occasions where the responses of other people are important to my client, for example, interviews or presentations and those where the responses of others are not so critical, such as exams or sporting events. POT is more suitable for the former and POT Solo the latter.
The Structure of the Performance Optimiser Technique
The recording begins with relaxing music which continues through to the end. Cardiac Coherence and deep relaxation are then established through breathing and listening techniques. A relaxation script follows leading you into guided imagery. It finishes with a guided ‘Success Strategy’. The guided imagery and Success Strategy both require a little thought before you start the recording.
Together with the two recordings you will download a short document, 'Guide to using the POT", which quickly and easily takes you through the POT process so you can get the best out of it.
